Economic Minister calls WTO to free global trade from sanctions
BUENOS AIRES, Dec 11 (PRIME) -- Economic sanctions are the most aggressive form of protectionism and global trade needs to become free of this “offensive phenomenon,” Economic Development Minister Maxim Oreshkin said on Monday.
“Over the few past few years we have encountered with growth of one of the most aggressive forms of protectionism, I mean sanctions. Now we have enough evidence that one of the reasons to impose sanctions against WTO partners is to protect own companies and give them preferences on the local market,” he said.
“We need to set the global trade system free of this offensive phenomenon.”
